We offer a range of creative writing workshops designed to cultivate creativity and strengthen writing skills! Each month, we explore a different type of writing genre and theme. Workshops are offered on the first Saturday of every month, 1-3pm. The age range for workshops will vary month-to-month!
The Magic of Water
Saturday, August 3, 1-3pm
Our twin bosses are fighting—again! One twin says that all writing should be fact-based, scientific writing, but the other says that writing should be much more creative and poetic. In this workshop, students will use science experiments as a catalyst for creativity. We dive into the science of PH and the language of poetry—and we see how science and poetry can even work together to share real, important information in a creative way. For more information or to sign your young writer up, email email@example.com and fill out the application at the bottom of the page.
I am from poetry
Saturday, September 7, 1-3pm
The writers will push past the notion that we are “from” just one place and explore all the things that make us who we are—memories, language, movement, family, friends, and food. Students will use “Golden Details” (sensory, simile, alliteration, and personification) to make their poems shine!
