Young Authors Greenhouse is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization and we need your help to grow!

We offer free writing and publishing programs, creative partnerships with schools, and a community of dedicated volunteers for student writing to be heard and appreciated. Centered in student voice, joy, and a reverence for the human experience, our programs grow academic and emotional fortitude among our young writers.

Volunteer

Volunteers energize our work. Whether you want to work directly with our students or you would prefer a behind-the-scenes, eyes-peeled-for-comma-splices job, we want to hear from you!  Learn more and submit a Volunteering Application here.

Employee Matching Programs

If your company has a corporate giving program or foundation, it’s likely they’ll match donations to Young Authors Greenhouse made on behalf of their employees, retired employees, and even employees’ spouses. Click here to see a list of companies with a reputation for matching donor money.

Even if your company isn’t on the list, they may still match donations. Check with your Human Resources department. If they do, they can provide you with all the necessary forms.

Host a Fundraiser

Whether at an event or online, celebrations are often a great way to gather support for a cause you champion. Instead of gifts, consider asking for donations to Young Authors Greenhouse. Facebook fundraisers make this easy, with all donations automatically going to us when your goal date is complete.

Shop & Give

• RoundUp—allows donors to sign up and have credit and debit card transactions rounded up to the nearest dollar amount with all proceeds going to Young Authors Greenhouse.

• Kroger Community Contribution Program—within 72 hours after you sign up with your Kroger Rewards Card and designating support to Young Authors Greenhouse you’ll be supporting us every time you shop!

• Buy from The Opposite Shop! All proceeds support our free programs.
